- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Pat each chicken breast dry with paper towels on both sides. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Arrange chicken in the baking dish in a single layer without overlapping. Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over each piece.
- Bake uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F. For a crispier top, broil for the last 2 to 3 minutes watching closely.
- Remove from oven and rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
Notes
Pat chicken dry before baking for best browning. Do not overlap chicken in the dish. Let rest 5 minutes after baking. The leftover garlic butter sauce is excellent over rice or pasta.
